Senior Adult Ministry Visit Monastery

    April 25, 2022 | Stories

The CCUM Senior Adult Ministry recently traveled to the Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, IN. It is home to one of the largest communities of Benedictine women in the United States. The Sisters of St. Benedict came to Ferdinand, Indiana, in 1867 to fill a need and make a difference in the lives of local settlers. Through the years, the sisters have adapted to the needs of a changing world. Yet they continue to live faithfully the 1,500-year-old tradition of Benedictine life—they seek God together, pray daily, and share their lives and ministries with others.
