Finding Hope in Memory Loss
Saturday, September 28, 2019 - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
On Saturday, September 28, from 9 am to 12 pm in the Fellowship Hall, join us for education, resources and support in coping with dementia of all types including Alzheimer’s. Dr. Fred Schmitt (UK), Dr. Christian Furman (UofL), and Dr. Benjamin Mast (UofL) will lead a forum about prevention, diagnosis, progression (including slowing it), stages, continued care and other valuable information. If you have a friend or family member with memory loss, you will learn ways for connecting and caring with your loved one. Many organizations in the area will also be present with resource information at tables. Plan to stay to speak with them individually. A Hope and Healing Service for caregivers, those with long-term illnesses and those grieving will be on Sunday, September 29, 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the Chapel.
