Men’s Meet & Meat Luncheon with John Boel When: Sunday, June 2, 12:15-2 pm Where: Fellowship Hall Cost: $12 Description: Men’s Luncheon with special guest WAVE-3 News Anchor John Boel MENU: Jasper's Church Chicken Pork Tenderloin Baby Back Ribs Smoked Stuffed Peppers Homemade Coleslaw Black bean mango salad All prepared by Steven Bowles with Pepperwood Catering. Whenever Jesus got a few hundred people together, he didn’t just drop wisdom on them. He fed them—MEAT! (Okay, it was fish, but you get the idea). Come and gather with men of all ages and stages for ribs, smoked chicken and all the fixin's! Men are so busy with work, marriage, kids, staying in shape, volunteering that we have let developing meaningful connections with other men slide. Studies have shown that if you want a healthy life, marriage, body, and faith...forming close male relationships is absolutely critical—and it reflects God’s design for our lives. So make this luncheon a priority in your schedule! A great event to invite the men and older boys you mentor or father! Wave 3 Evening Anchor, John Boel co-anchors from 5 pm to 6:30 pm each weekday and he loves to tell a good story. He will be our guest and be sharing his life-and-death story of how deep relationships with other men made all the difference. When he's not working or speaking, John enjoys Fishing and training for triahlons. He has completed 11 Ironman triathlons and at the age of 54, John is also an author. His book "On the News, In the News" spent three months on the Louisville best-seller list. John's wins for best news anchor three of the past four years put his career Emmy Award total at 87, but he's even more proud of his wife and two daughters and of his efforts helping people in the world of addiction recovery. He is also a 13 time Edward R Murrow Award winner. We hope to inspire and invite men into a deeper relationship with Christ by connecting to our Summer Ironman gathering of men. There is a suggested donation of $12.00 and Pre-Registration is needed to ensure plenty of MEAT!
