RED BIRD MISSION COLLECTION THROUGHOUT JUNE 2022 

Red Bird Mission's food pantry helps fill the gaps, ensuring low income families will have enough to eat. Items can be dropped off in the bins under the portico at entrance 1.

Please see list of needed items below:

  • Canned meats such as chicken, tuna, hams, etc.
  • Dried or canned beans
  • Shelf stable milk
  • Canned vegetables; especially mixed vegs., peas, yams, carrots
  • Instant potatoes
  • Canned fruit (any non-perishable fruit)
  • 100% juice (large bottles, individual juice drinks, etc.)
  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Baby food
  • Any unopened unexpired non-perishable food is most appreciated
  • Toothpaste
  • Diapers
  • Devotion booklets (current or expired) such as "upper room", guideposts, etc.  Gently used copies are fine.

MOUNTAIN MISSION
The United Methodist Mountain Mission has been serving the people of eastern Kentucky since 1943.

  • Items Needed: New or gently used
    men’s, women’s and children’s clothing.
  • Drop-off Location: Collections closet in the Gathering Hall.
Food

RED BIRD MISSION
A food pantry serving the people of eastern Kentucky. Collection is taken and delivered from January to June.

  • Items Needed: Non-perishable, non-expired food items.
  • Drop-off Location: Collections closet in the Gathering Hall.

ST. MATTHEWS AREA MINISTRIES
A food pantry serving the St. Matthews community.

Furniture and Household Items

GOD’S DESIGNS, INC.
Enriches lives by furnishing homes for those in need.

  • Items Needed: Gently used household furniture and home furnishings.
  • Schedule pick-up.

KENTUCKY REFUGEE MINISTRIES (KRM)
KRM secures rental apartment/homes and home furnishings for refugees arriving in Louisville.

  • Items Needed: Gently used household furniture and furnishings, used washers/dryers (electric only), UNLOCKED cell phones (smart OR flip). Phones must be unlocked from original carrier (ex. Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc.)
