Boys to Men

January 21, 6 - 7:30 pm in Room 003/004

Boys to Men is a workshop for 6th-8th grade boys and their dads (or significant men in their lives) led by the IronMen at Christ Church.

Researchers tell us that in every culture there’s a code that defines what it is to be a man, a code that boys learn very easily. What is the code of masculinity being taught to our boys? Today’s culture is teaching them that to be masculine means you objectify women, party, drive cool cars, be a winner, and live a wild life, while the rest of us (even the church) simply want them to be “good boys” and “nice guys.” But, boys are created for challenge, risk and reward, adventure, action, and heroic sacrifice! That’s the adventurous calling Christ has for boys and men! At this Boys to Men youth event, IronMen from Christ Church will lead us in exploring the unique call of Christ on boys and men to follow Him in ways that fulfill our boys’ God-designed masculinity.

Pizza meal provided; donations appreciated. No registration required.
