Due to the rising cost of buses, please note that the cost of trips reflects a charge for transportation. We do not ever want cost to be an impediment to participating in our trips or lunches. If you are unable to pay, but would like to join us, please reach out.
Cost of monthly lunches in Fellowship Hall is $10. Reservations can be made by calling 893-2201 ex 328 or by registering online.

Clark County , IN Museum, Indian artifacts, Civil War History, World War 1 and 2 history, MANY other items of interest, from ammunitions to Al Capone and more!
$15.00 lunch to be determined.

March 13 – LUNCHEON
Sanctuary Series Skylark Celtic Concert at 11:30 in the Chapel, lunch afterward in Fellowship Hall. An offering will be taken at the concert to support one of our local ministries.

Thomas Merton Center at Bellarmine University
Arrive 9:30, return about 2:30 Have you seen the historical marker at the corner of 4th and Muhammad Ali? If so, did you wonder who Thomas Merton was and why his “revelation” is marked at that location?
Join us as we visit the Merton Center at Bellarmine University. We will see some items from his life at the Abbey of Gethsemani, items from the archive and his artwork on display. The Director will greet us and be available for questions. $10
Lunch on your own at Dundee Tavern. Register by March 27.
April 17 – LUNCHEON
The Life of Thomas Merton
We will explore some of Thomas Merton’s life, his writings and why this Catholic Trappist monk from the Abbey of Gethsemani near Bardstown, would be relevant for us as United Methodists in 2023. Our speaker will be Christ Church member Liz Matney who, because of her interest, has become an expert on the life of Thomas Merton.

May 8 – LUNCHEON

Lost Louisville: Many beautiful landmarks have been demolished. The Rialto, the Old Post Office, and the Columbia Building have all been removed. Revisit these distinctive structures and find out why they were razed and what replaced them. 11:30 with lunch to follow.
