Opportunities

Connect

  • The ensembles of Christ Church are diverse communities of people who are united by their love of Christ and their love of music. By making music together, we grow in relationship with one another, learn to trust one another, see the value in one another, and share in many adventures that build lifelong memories.
  • No music experience is necessary! We want everyone who has a passion for music to be a part of our Music Ministry. Adults of all ages are encouraged to join. You can serve in our Chancel Choir, which has nearly 150 volunteers, one of our handbell groups, or we can help you discover your musical gifts.

Grow/Serve

  • At Christ Church, we believe that the Lord reveals himself to us through the music we make and helps us grow in our relationship with him and with each other. Therefore, the rehearsal process is more than just a means to an end; it is where we grow in our faith as well. In addition to working on music for worship services and special events, time is spent in rehearsal sharing joys and concerns, prayer, devotion, laughter, stories, tears, and fun. Christ Church prides itself on excellence in music, but that excellence never supersedes our calling to be faithful to the Lord and to be instruments of his peace.
  • Like all the ministries of Christ Church, service is of high importance to our music ministry. Our Sanctuary Series partners with a local non-profit organization for each concert in its season in order to raise awareness and call for donations. This results in tens of thousands of dollars being given away to these worthy organizations every year. Our high schoolers commence a summer tour every year to perform and serve at rescue missions, soup kitchens, recovery centers, and shelters. Other ensembles routinely perform at community events and collaborate with other churches on performances.

Volunteer Needs

  • All the ensembles of Christ Church are 100% volunteer and open to everyone. No experience necessary, no audition required. Anyone who is interested in making music to praise the Lord will find a place in the music ministry of Christ Church!

  • There are ways to help the music ministry beyond music, such as ushering for concerts, setting up for events, etc. Just as importantly, people can support the ministry through their prayers.
