Blessing of the Animals

After the morning services, please come back and join us at Christ Church for our Blessing of the Animals! All pets, near and dear to you, are welcome to receive a blessing. We’d like to extend the invitation to those who have experienced the loss of a beloved pet. Whether your companion is with you or has passed on, you are invited to come receive a blessing and find a moment of comfort and remembrance. We’ll also have resources available for those who are grieving the loss of a pet. All are welcome.

Protecting Your House of Worship - A Security Seminar

Christ Church’s Security Team invites the congregation and community partners to a free seminar, facilitated by USCCA, focused on ways to make our churches safer and better prepared. Participants will learn practical tools to recognize warning signs of potential violence, develop an effective emergency operations plan, address safety concerns unique to houses of worship, evaluate current security practices, and provide immediate care for traumatic injuries. Women's Luncheon at Jeffersontown UMC

Trunk or Treat Community Fun Night!

Fall Retreat at Aldersgate Camp: Unrevealed

All ages are invited to come join the fun and enjoy the sacred space that Aldersgate has to offer! Experience creeks, hammocking, caving, hiking, folk dancing and see the historic Fitchburg furnace. The cost is $50 per family. Feel free to stay for the whole weekend or just come for part of it!

Congregational Care Training

Do you feel called to visit the sick, encourage the discouraged, celebrate life events, and lift one another in prayer? Perhaps you have incredible administrative skills and like to help organize systems and wish to serve in that way. Consider being trained to serve as a Congregational Care Minister (CCM).
CCM’s make hospital visits, call people in need of personal contact, deliver the sacrament of Holy Communion and serve in many other areas where they feel most gifted. Our training will cover topics such as Theology of Care, Boundaries and Ethical Practices, Listening, Hospital Visits, Grief, and Prayer. Sign up below by September 30.

Bags of Grace are available in the Gathering Hall. Grab a couple to keep in your car so you can offer them to someone in need when the opportunity arises. Each bag contains basic snacks to help sustain someone who may be experiencing hunger. A small act of kindness can make a meaningful difference!
