Why We Give

Everything that we have comes from and belongs to God, and we are simply managing those resources while here on earth. Giving is one of the ways we worship God, and one of the ways we demonstrate our love for God and for our neighbors.

It's amazing to see God's creativity, love and generosity on full display each and every day here at Christ Church. Our members generously give their time, service, talents and treasures, supporting our ministries and mission of Becoming Living Proof of God's Love.

Giving makes possible worship, programs for children and youth, outreach ministries, pastoral care and support, mission trips and community events. How much to give is a personal choice and we hope each person will commit a percentage of their income and increase that amount as they are able.

Important Note About Online Giving
Christ Church United Methodist is pleased to offer online giving for our members. While this can have advantages, we want each person who chooses this option to make sure they are giving in a spirit that is pleasing to the Lord. While there are several ways to give electronically, including automatic withdrawal from checking, debit cards and credit cards, we strongly discourage the use of credit cards if debt will be incurred. Proverbs 22:7 says "...the borrower is servant to the lender" and credit cards can cause many people to struggle financially. Christ Church will incur fees equal to 3% of your credit or debit card transaction for your payment on the website. Please consider this as you make your election. Thank you for your faithfulness and may God bless you.

Festival of Stars

Gifts for people in need in our community

It’s time for our annual Festival of Stars, an opportunity to shop for a Christmas gift for a person in need in our community. If you would prefer to donate toward the cost of gift cards being distributed to children at Lighthouse Ministries and residents of the Healing Place and United Methodist Home for Children and Youth, please click button below and select Festival of Stars from the fund menu. You may also write a check with Festival of Stars in the memo line. Please drop off your donated gifts to the Gathering Hall by December 1.
