The Bridge

Part of our vision at Christ Church United Methodist is to plant faith communities by carrying the Good News of Jesus to where people are. The two current faith communities we have planted serve congregations who are in recovery for drug or alcohol addiction and are involved in treatment programs.  The Bridge is a gathering where everyone is welcome and where two goals are constantly emphasized:

  1. To remind everyone present that they are Children of God individually and collectively
  2. To create sacred space for people to explore what it might mean for their lives if Jesus Christ is our higher power

Tuesdays from 6-7 pm | St. Peter’s Evangelical United Church of Christ | 1407 W. Jefferson St

Share in the reading of Scripture, discussion and time of prayer followed by a brief fellowship with home-baked cookies from our "cookie brigade."

Thursdays from 5-6 pm | Fourth Avenue United Methodist | 318 W. St. Catherine Street

Share in a meal, time of prayer, lesson and devotion.

Got an idea for a community in need of love and forgiveness who are largely unchurched?  Maybe the next faith community to be planted will be the one you help us identify…or maybe even the one you help start.

Answer the Call to Serve

Opportunities to Turn Your Faith into Action

At Christ Church United Methodist, we are a people joined together in becoming living proof of God’s love, one person at a time. Wherever we are, whether at home, at work, at school, or at play, we have the opportunity to widen the circle of those being embraced in God’s love. This mission we live in at CCUM is fueled by the notion that God is, eternally, calling.  God is calling people through means of listening and of learning that lead us to the action of living our own dynamic calling.  We affirm that God is calling you, and we invite you to discover your calling at Christ Church United Methodist. Outreach & Justice

Providing ministry support in our community.

Christ Church United Methodist is heavily involved in several area ministries/organizations, offering financial support as well as the service of individuals and groups. CCUM is fortunate to have a number of members on the Outreach & Justice Committee who assist in identifying the needs within these entities as well as ways in which we can be part of their efforts.
