Love Your Neighbor–BELOVED Art Exhibit

Sacred Worth and A.W.E. ministries are excited to present our 4th annual art exhibit! Stop by the Fellowship Hall to view the work talented local artists and their courageous interpretations of Christ's commandment to love your neighbor at our gallery opening. Art is viewable through Sunday, September 27.

Loving Your Neighbor–Safe Zone Training
Saturday, September 26 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Begin the work of loving your neighbor by learning how to examine your own perspectives, understand various aspects of the LGBTQIA+ community, and build an environment where ALL feel safe. Retired FGCU Department of Social Work Chair, Dr. Hugh Clark, Ph.D. will lead the Safe Zone Ally training, which seeks to foster an atmosphere of support and celebration of LGBTQIA+ people through education and advocacy. Dr. Clark brings a wealth of experience as a minister, educator, and LGBTQIA+ advocate, and we are honored to welcome him to Christ Church.
NO COST to attend. Please register by September 20.

Who is Your Neighbor?–Sunday Morning Class
Sunday, September 27 | 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Share your questions and perspectives, and connect with Christ Church visitors and long-time members for an open discussion as we explore the question: Who is Your Neighbor? Dr. Hugh Clark, Ph.D. will guide our discussion as we examine societal tendencies of 'othering' (treating people who are different from a dominant group as separate, inferior, or not fitting in), develop our awareness of challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals, and consider the blessings that come from varied perspectives and backgrounds. Even if you don't have questions, we hope you will consider joining us in the Fellowship Hall during the Faith Formation hour in support of Christ Church's mission of 'becoming living proof of God's love, one person at a time'.
