Senior Adult Ministry

At Christ Church, our Senior Adult Ministry (affectionately known as SAM) is all about learning new things, making new friends, having fun, exploring greater Louisville, eating great food, and most of all, growing together in our faith. We’d love
to have you join us!

Christ Church Senior Adult Ministry outings and luncheons are open to anyone – there is no age limit on either end! We enjoy meeting new people, learning new things, spreading joy, and working to spread God’s love, one person at a time.

Senior adults from every corner of our community are invited to gather around God’s Word this October and consider four vital steps we’re called to take as we mature:

  • Keep Believing: “by believing you may have life in his name” John 20:31
  • Keep Praying: “keep on praying for all the Lord’s people" Ephesians 6:18
  • Keep Serving: “keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord” Romans 12:11
  • Keep Loving: “keep on loving one another” Hebrews 13:1

Invite your friends and neighbors to join you for a lively, encouraging hour in the Chapel at Christ Church with Liz Curtis Higgs, Director of Senior Adult Ministry. She has taught Bible studies for more than forty years, written three dozen books, and spoken in all fifty United States and fifteen foreign countries. In this new season of local ministry, Liz is joyfully encouraging senior adults to Keep the Faith. All are welcome!

to be missed! After his informative and fascinating message, The History of Louisville: An Overview, we’ll enjoy lovely box lunches from Gracious Plenty.
