What Does It Mean to be Called?

Have you wondered what it means to be called by God? Rev. Leigh Ann Maynard explains how each of us is called in unique and beautiful ways.

How do we live out our calling?

• Becoming who God created you to be:  God calls people to become the person they were created to be and to do the things they were designed to do.
• A spiritual journey:  Being called by God is a spiritual journey that involves learning about oneself, one's relationship with God and the unique gifts they were given.
• A secondary calling:  In addition to the primary calling of following Christ, there is also a secondary calling to imitate Christ in one's life, to find a way to use our unique gifts to serve others. 
• A call to ministry:  Each of us is called to serve the Kingdom of God in a unique way. It ranges from showing God's love in our everyday lives to starting ministries that inspire others to walk along with us as we live out our calling.
