Special Collection in advance of Christ Church Cares Day
On Christ Church Cares Day, we’ll be making Healthy Care Bags to give to those in need. We hope to fill 100 – 150 bags. Here is the list of travel size items needed (new items only please) to fill the gallon size Ziplock bags. Please drop off the items now through September 7 in the designated bin in the Gathering Hall. Please note: Do NOT include any medications, mouthwash or hand sanitizer. THANK YOU for your support!
Offsite Project Options
Lighthouse Academy at Newburg - Gardening and grounds care, sand and paint the building and doors from 9 am - 12 pm
Portland Promise Center - Landscaping, cleaning and organizing closets, general interior cleaning from 9 am - 12 pm
Lifehouse Maternity Home - Gate installation, moving furniture and shelving, reorganizing closets, some painting from 9 am - 12 pm
Wesley Manor - Various projects involving interior and exterior painting, landscaping, dusting and playing games with residents from 9 am - 12 pm
Maryhurst - Interior projects including decorating for fall from 9 am - 12 pm
Open Door Ministry at 4th Ave - No food serving this year - extensive painting project in kitchen, including ceilings from 9 am - 1 pm
West End School - Various projects which may include indoor and outdoor from 9 am - 12 pm
Photographer/videographer/reporter for offsite projects from 9 am - 1 pm
Onsite Project Options
Diaper Collection for Mama to Mama & Play Cousins Collective - Collecting/sorting/delivering diapers from CCUM's Diaper Drive. This is on Friday.
These 2 activities are mainly for children and parents/grandparents and our less mobile adults and senior adults:
- Snacks in Sacks of Louisville - Packing over 1000 snack bags in the Gym
- Every Neighbor Healthy Toiletry Packing - We will be making “Healthy-care Bags” to give to those in need. We hope to fill 100-150 bags in Rooms 003/004.
Pass It On Kids Sale Break Down/Sort/Clean Up from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
