Women’s Ministry at Christ Church: Gather 2024

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
Matthew 18:20

In 2020, we gathered online for a Sweet Hour of Prayer.
In 2021, we gathered with Sheila Walsh for A Morning of Hope.
In 2022, we gathered to explore six areas of Women’s Wellness.
In 2023, we gathered to discover The Power of Stories.
In 2024, let’s gather to Study | Share | Seek | Serve!

This year, it’s all about flexibility. We’ll meet on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 pm and on Saturdays, from 10 am - 12 pm, so all women can participate.

Morning or evening, we’ll gather in the Youth Center for conversation, inspiration, and something to eat (of course), then move to nearby rooms to go deeper together in a small group setting. Community and connection — what our hearts need most, this year and every year.

Our seasonal gatherings are free, online registration is easy, and women of all ages are welcome. Bring a sister, bring a neighbor, bring a friend, or just bring yourself. We can’t wait to see you!

Gather to Share

Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. 1 Thessalonians 2:8 NIV

Women’s Ministry Spring Gathering in the Youth Center

Saturday, May 11 from 10am-12pm

Sisters, we are moving our gatherings back to Saturday morning and back to the Youth Center! Join us Saturday, May 11 for coffee, cookies, and meaningful conversation, as the effervescent Trudy Wheeler, creator of our Sterling Service Tea Ministry and former President of the Woman’s Club of Louisville, shares her spiritual journey, showing us how we can create our own timelines, finding all the places where we’ve sensed God at work in our lives. Bring your mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and friends for a free, fun morning on Mother’s Day weekend! Register here through May 9.

Gather to Seek

Tuesday, August 20 from 6:30-8:30pm or Saturday, August 24 from 10am-12pm

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 NIV

Whether we’re seeking God’s strength or searching for answers, prayer is the proven pathway to take us where we long to be: in God’s holy presence. Prayers may be spoken or unspoken, lifted up in song or written out in silence. Together, we’ll consider how we can approach the Lord with our heartfelt requests, knowing he listens, cares, and responds. Trust us: this is how transformation happens!

Gather to Serve

Tuesday, November 12 from 6:30-8:30pm or Saturday, November 16 from 10am-12pm

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 NIV

After studying God’s Word, sharing his love with one another, and seeking him through prayer, serving others in his name is the natural next step. We’ll look at all the ways we might reach beyond the walls of Christ Church to make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors. Trust us: this is what being the hands and feet of Jesus means!
