Senior Adult Ministry

At Christ Church, our Senior Adult Ministry (affectionately known as SAM) is all about learning new things, making new friends, having fun, and most of all, growing together in our faith. We’d love to have you join us!

Christ Church Senior Adult Ministry Luncheons are open to anyone – there is no age limit on either end! We enjoy meeting new people, learning new things, spreading joy, and working to spread God’s love, one person at a time.

The first woman president of Georgetown College, Dr. Rosemary Allen quickly demonstrated her mettle by eliminating the College’s $28 million long-term debt in just 12 months, and was honored as Woman of the Year 2024 by the Georgetown/Scott County Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Allen, a literature professor, will draw from her love of story and deep well of experience to describe the providential influence of God in her career and show us why investing our time, energy, and resources in education is vital for the success of our community.

Back by popular demand, Dr. Daniel Blosser will share more fascinating Hymn Stories in word and song!
