We are already so excited... mark your calendars for VBS 2026!
June 15 - 18 (Monday - Thursday, 9 am - 12 pm)
Step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees, and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids plunge into a lifelong adventure of discovering the nature of God. They’ll explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, their creator, a safe place in life’s storms.

Spiritual Transformation
Our Children's Ministry is unique. Open to children ages infancy through 5th grade, this is more than childcare. We believe that children are spiritual beings, created by God to experience God's love in deep relationship with Him. Even the youngest children can and do experience God. The God Centered Model for Spiritual Transformation is a unique model we use with our children. It gives each child the opportunity to encounter God's Living Word, the Bible, and then allows space for that experience to bring them into the very presence and heart of God.
Through activities such as Sacred Circle Time, Holy Listening and Blessing, our children are not only taught Truths from the Bible, these Truths are brought to life in their hearts. They are given space to process the story through play. They are taught to meditate on God's Word and listen for how God is speaking to them. Our trained Holy Listeners give each child a chance to be heard as they share what God is putting on their heart.
Opportunities
Connect
- We offer 10 am Faith Formation Classes for children of all ages every Sunday in person and online.
- Children in 3rd-5th grade are invited to worship in the Sanctuary with their families. We offer Children's Worship during the 9 and 11:15am worship services for children ages K-2nd Grade.
- We offer seasonal opportunities such as VBS in the summer, family missions throughout the year, and special family events for Halloween, Advent, Lent and Christmas.
Grow
- All of our events and classes are designed in age appropriate ways to help both our children and volunteers to grow in their faith.
- Our children’s ministry offers various mission opportunities throughout the year, including opportunities built into our classes and events, such as putting together gifts for teachers, care packages for the homeless, and gifts for pets in shelters.
Volunteer
- We are always looking for volunteers to help with our ongoing programs and with special events. If you love children, join us! No prior teaching experience necessary.
- We also LOVE our youth and welcome teens to volunteer in the Children's Ministry.
- Volunteers are required to complete Safe Sanctuaries training to ensure the safety of our children.
Sunday Morning
By playing together, serving together, learning together, and praying together, our children build and grow in a steady, spiritual community which seeks to positively transform the world beyond church doors.
In Person
During the 9 & 11:15 am worship services
Kindergarten through 2nd grade:
During the 9 and 11:15 am worship services, Kindergarten - 2nd grade will begin in worship with their families and be called to leave for Children's Worship in the middle of the service.
Sunday Faith Formation at 10 am
During Faith Formation, children will have the opportunity to engage with Scripture through play, art, nature, missions, open discussion, and various spiritual practices. We seek to emphasize the importance of creating safe, sacred spaces for all people, where each individual is heard, seen, and recognized, and, regardless of age, feels comfortable asking difficult questions, sharing their gifts, and asking for help.

Safe Sanctuaries Policy Training
We believe that God intends for us to welcome and protect children, students and vulnerable adults, and to support those who minister to them as volunteers and employees. Completion of Safe Sanctuaries training is required prior to working with children and youth at Christ Church.

About PSALM Kids Children's Music
Children Pre-K through 5th grade experience God’s love and develop musical and other skills through singing, ringing, games, activities and leading in worship.
