About The Event
We hope you'll join us for this annual fun and festive event on Friday, October 24 from 6 - 7:30 pm! We are inviting the entire community, so we're asking for your help to make it a success!
- We need candy! Please drop off individually wrapped candy to collection bins located and in the Gathering Hall by October 19.
- We need 30 Halloween-themed Decorated Car Trunks! People of all ages and stages are welcome to compete for the Best Trunk 2025 bragging rights! We will supply the candy. Sign up your car below!
RISING KINDERGARTEN Q & A
Unraveling Kindergarten Registration | September 17 | 6-8 pm
Parents with rising Kindergartners—this session is for you! A small panel of educational experts will share their personal and professional experiences of the various local options, posing questions for you to consider in determining the best fit for your family. We'll also host families from a number of local schools to answer any questions you might have about their school communities.
CUB SCOUTS
Cub Scout Pack 317
Calling all elementary school kids and their adults: Christ Church proudly supports Cub Scout Pack 317, and we're gearing up for another amazing year of adventure and learning!
Join us for a fun-filled journey in scouting! Cub Scouts meet in the Scout Area (next to the gym) every other Thursday from 6-7pm. This year we are planning Pack parties, hikes, overnight camping trips, service opportunities, and a Pinewood Derby in addition to regular Den meetings learning important life skills and how to honor our duties to God, country, and self.

Spiritual Transformation
Our Children's Ministry is unique. Open to children ages infancy through 5th grade, this is more than childcare. We believe that children are spiritual beings, created by God to experience God's love in deep relationship with Him. Even the youngest children can and do experience God. The God Centered Model for Spiritual Transformation is a unique model we use with our children. It gives each child the opportunity to encounter God's Living Word, the Bible, and then allows space for that experience to bring them into the very presence and heart of God.
Through activities such as Sacred Circle Time, Holy Listening and Blessing, our children are not only taught Truths from the Bible, these Truths are brought to life in their hearts. They are given space to process the story through play. They are taught to meditate on God's Word and listen for how God is speaking to them. Our trained Holy Listeners give each child a chance to be heard as they share what God is putting on their heart.
Opportunities
Connect
- We offer 10 am Faith Formation Classes for children of all ages every Sunday in person and online.
- Children in 3rd-5th grade are invited to worship in the Sanctuary with their families. We offer Children's Worship during the 9 and 11:15am worship services for children ages K-2nd Grade.
- We offer seasonal opportunities such as VBS in the summer, family missions throughout the year, and special family events for Halloween, Advent, Lent and Christmas.
Grow/Serve
- All of our events and classes are designed in age appropriate ways to help both our children and volunteers to grow in their faith.
- Our children’s ministry offers various mission opportunities throughout the year, including opportunities built into our classes and events, such as putting together gifts for teachers, care packages for the homeless, and gifts for pets in shelters.
- Our weekly offering goes to buy meals for starving children around the world.
Volunteer
- We are always looking for volunteers to help with our ongoing programs and with special events. If you love children, join us! No prior teaching experience necessary.
- We also LOVE our youth and welcome teens to volunteer in the Children's Ministry.
- Volunteers are required to complete Safe Sanctuaries training to ensure the safety of our children.
Sunday Morning
By playing together, serving together, learning together, and praying together, our children build and grow in a steady, spiritual community which seeks to positively transform the world beyond church doors.

During the 9 & 11:15 am worship services
Kindergarten through 2nd grade:
During the 9 and 11:15 am worship services, Kindergarten - 2nd grade will begin in worship with their families and be called to leave for Children's Worship in the middle of the service.
Sunday Faith Formation at 10 am
During Faith Formation, children will have the opportunity to engage with Scripture through play, art, nature, missions, open discussion, and various spiritual practices. We seek to emphasize the importance of creating safe, sacred spaces for all people, where each individual is heard, seen, and recognized, and, regardless of age, feels comfortable asking difficult questions, sharing their gifts, and asking for help.

Safe Sanctuaries Policy Training
We believe that God intends for us to welcome and protect children, students and vulnerable adults, and to support those who minister to them as volunteers and employees. Completion of Safe Sanctuaries training is required prior to working with children and youth at Christ Church.

About PSALM Kids Children's Music
Children Pre-K through 5th grade experience God’s love and develop musical and other skills through singing, ringing, games, activities and leading in worship.
