Children's Ministries at Christ Church seeks to help children, birth through 5th grade, become living proof of God's love, one person at a time.
In Children's Ministries, we believe our ministry includes children, parents and children's leaders. We equip caring adults to disciple children both at home and at church, and we provide opportunities for children to worship, prepare and serve in order to grow in their faith. We want to partner with parents by helping them lead their children spiritually and also by offering a variety of discipleship experiences at church, from Sunday morning groups to mid-week Bible studies, to Vacation Bible School and weekend retreats.
Ministries for Children with Special Needs
Every child is different, and every child is loved and welcomed at Christ Church. Parents decide which environment is the best fit for their child. We offer traditional, peer-based groups as well as a multi-age flexible group called Sensational Kids at 10:05 and 11:15 am. If you would like to discuss these options, contact Becky Powers at (502) 494-3751.
Milestones Approach to Children's Ministries
There are four key rites of passage in the life of a Christ Church child through which we offer parenting resources and celebrate your child's faith development. Those milestones are:
3rd Grade Bibles
Transition to 6th Grade
Each of these milestones involves a special ceremony and a parenting component. In this way, we recognize our children's growing faith and help parents to lead their children spiritually throughout their development.
